It is made in the traditional Mettlach PUG (print under glaze) technique – many antique Mettlach wares were made using it. Depicts a beautifully designed German Imperial eagle – unfortunately the design is not signed, I do not know who created it. The plate was made for the Library Festival (most likely, opening ceremony for the new library building) held in German Museum in Munich in 1930. Marked with Mettlach Mercury mark. The plate is in excellent flawless condition, it is 11 in diameter. Maker: Villeroy and Boch/Mettlach. Use the FREE Counters 1 million sellers do – Vendio!
